Important: Avoiding Date Clashes Between State and National Ranking Tournaments
Dear All,
It has come to the notice of the Badminton Association of India (BAI) that certain State tournaments are being scheduled on dates that overlap with National-level Ranking Tournaments as per the BAI National Calendar.
In this regard, BAI wishes to reiterate the following for strict compliance by all affiliated State Associations and Units:
1. While organizing State tournaments of any category, care must be taken to ensure that these events do not clash with the National Tournament of any category listed in the official BAI National Calendar.
It must be noted that no State-level tournament should overlap with any BAI National Calendar events, as such clashes deprive players of the opportunity to participate at the national level and adversely affect their growth and ranking prospects.
We seek your full cooperation in adhering to this important directive so that players across all age categories can participate in both State and National tournaments without conflict. This will ensure uniformity, fair opportunity, and the true promotion of badminton at every level.
NOTE: BAI would like to highlight that in case BAI has to revise the National Calendar due to unavoidable circumstances, all State Associations are requested to kindly adjust their respective calendars accordingly. BAI’s sole objective is to ensure that no player misses participation in National Ranking Tournaments due to a clash with state-level events.
